Veterans’ Day “Week” Impressive
The James R. Hickey Post #120 of the American Legion was actively involved in community activities surrounding Veteran’s Day, 2015.
The Pal-Mac School district hired a professional videographer and photographer for Tuesday, November 10th’s activities to record, for posterity, the efforts of the Primary School’s participants in honoring the Veterans of the community. The work of those young students, staff, faculty and administration cannot be recognized enough for the thoughts and meaning of what they were doing. Hopefully, the District will make this video available for public viewing.
The Middle School opened its’ doors to the Veterans on Monday, November 9th while the Intermediate School invited the Veterans to their breakfast and program on Friday, November 6th. The efforts of each school’s population was, on its own, heartwarming and thoughtful. Thank you.
The children of the school district provided reminders that there are persons in the community valued and worthy of remembering. Perhaps this video (click on red sentence) will jog your memory as well. We have all known this person.
