Rochester Craft Beverage Trail Tasting Festival Announcement

Black Button Distilling has announced the 1st Rochester Craft Beverage Trail Tasting Festival at Sahlen’s Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 12th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Experience local beer, wine and spirits from your favorite trail members including:

Casa Larga, Naked Dove Brewing, Iron Smoke Whiskey, Heron Hill Winery, Roc Brewing Co., Honeoye Falls Distillery, Blue Toad Hard Cider, The Lost Borough Brewing Col., Nedloh Brewing Company, O’begley, Rorhbach Brewing Company, The VB Brewery, Three Brothers Wineries and Estates, The Barrel Room, Knucklehead Craft Brewing and, of course, Black Button Distillery.

Throughout the event local bands will be playing including: The Dan Eaton Band, The Teressa Wilcox Band, Violet Mary, The Tommy Brunett Band.

After the tasting, the Rochester Rhinos play the Toronto FC at 7:05 p.m.

Designated Driver Package ($10.) includes a Rhinos game ticket, water and soda during the tasting period.  The Tasting Package ($35.) includes a Rhinos game ticket, tastings from members on the Rochester craft beverage trail, a commemorative glass, and the chance to meet with distillers, brewers and wine makers from right here in the Rochester area.

Relay for Life Totals

flagimagesAfter the meeting of many of the principles involved in the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” held at the Pal-Mac High School campus recently, it was announced that the Palmyra American Legion Post raised $1,132.00 dollars in the fight against cancer.  The total raised by the entire community was added up to be $29, 567.83. Congratulations to all who supported this community effort.

The Post has signed on with Palmyra Rite Aid Pharmacy again this year to provide free flu shots for veterans and their family members.  Save the 1:00 pm-2:00 time slot on October 9th in  your calendars as the date and time for the “free” shots.  You can also register for Pneumonia and Shingles inoculations if you are interested and need them.  Watch for the sign up sheet at the post for a time slot to receive your shot(s).
