“Senior” Veterans Visit Post

“Senior” Veterans from area Senior Living Communities visited the James R. Hickey Post May 2, as a culminating activity following visitations to the communities by Post Service Officer, John Schlafer and 2nd Vice Commander, Dave Borland.  Schlafer and Borland had visited the communities with an audio/video presentation designed to show the residents that there was an active American Legion Post in the area.  The residents arrived by bus and auto and were greeted by Post Commander, Ann Guest, Post Manager, Amber Jenkins, Post Service Officer John Schlafer and 2nd Vice Commander, Dave Borland.  Commander Guest took interested parties on a tour of the first floor.  The other three floors were left for another time.
